Rafter 46 Bonds in Harmony is Accepting New Clients
Many extended health benefit plans cover counselling in Alberta when services are provided by a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Coverage depends on your individual insurance provider and plan.
Direct billing is available for many insurance providers, including - but not limited to - these most common insurers:
Beneva
Canada Life (including PSHCP)
Chambers of Commerce (Johnston Group)
Manulife
Direct billing is not available for all individual plans. If direct billing is not supported or not approved, payment is required at the time of each session and a receipt will be provided to you for submission to your insurer.
There are also a number of insurance providers that often cover our counselling services but do not offer direct billing. These include:
Sun Life (direct billing may come available)
Green Shield (direct billing may come available)
Alberta Blue Cross
Canadian Construction Workers Union (C.C.W.U.)
The Cooperators
Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP)
➝ A full list of insurers can be viewed here.
If your insurance provider is not on this list, please contact your benefits administrator to have them explain your coverage. Clients are responsible for confirming their own coverage, including eligibility, limits, and reimbursement amounts.
Some employers offer Health Spending Accounts (HSAs), which can often be used for counselling services depending on your plan.
HSAs are commonly offered in workplaces such as:
• energy, oil & gas
• trades and industrial sectors
• public sector (government and education)
• corporate workplaces
• unionized environments
If you have an HSA, you may be able to use it for counselling services. Please check with your plan administrator or provider to confirm eligibility.
Receipts are issued for all paid sessions and are available through your Jane App account.
You can submit your receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement, where eligible. Reimbursement is determined by your provider and cannot be guaranteed by Rafter 46 Bonds in Harmony.
